Yesterday's lunch meeting and Cheeseburger league play concluded our 2013 season. A "Thank You" to you all for making this the best year we have had for the number of members (56), and for participating as much as you could making for interesting competition each and every week.
Your new officers for the 2014 season will be: Tony LeGrand, President; Larry Nickell, Vice-President; Morty Potashnick, Treasurer; and Greg Comer, Secretary.
The membership voted to give $300.00 to the club for a maintenance project selected by Darrell Best. Also agreed to by the membership was to revise our handicapping system, thus using the last 12 round scores vs. the last 20 round scores as used by USGA. The system will now select the lowest 6 scores from the last 12 and determine your handicap. This will produce a more up-to-date handicap as our season progresses. Prizes were awarded for the Handicap Tournament, and Russ Jones was named as Most Improved Golfer for 2013. Congratulations to all the winners.
